The Delhi Police have arrested three men in connection with a theft at a Mother Dairy booth in the R K Puram area. The suspects, Shekhar (22), Sumit (26), and Lakhan (19), allegedly stole Rs37,000 in cash along with dairy products on March 23, 2025.

The breakthrough came when a local shopkeeper tipped off the authorities that one of the suspects had transferred money via a mobile phone, helping police track the suspects to their hideout in Abdullapur Mewla village, Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh.

According to the police, the trio had approached Harsh Yadav, the owner of the booth, on March 21 expressing interest in leasing his shop. To gain his trust, they convinced him to let them observe the shop’s operations for two days before finalizing the lease agreement. However, after monitoring the daily transactions, the trio stole Rs37,000 in cash and six packets of dairy products before fleeing the scene.

An FIR was registered under sections 305 (theft) and 331(4) (trespassing) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and a thorough investigation led the police to Baghpat. The suspects were arrested following a raid, and the stolen cash and items were recovered.

The police continue to investigate further, and additional leads are being followed to ensure the gang’s network is fully dismantled.
