Delhi Police have arrested three people, including a woman, in connection with a robbery at a house in South Delhi’s Kailash Colony, where valuables worth Rs 50 lakh were stolen. The incident occurred on February 21 when the homeowners were away in Surajkund, Faridabad.
Upon returning home, the family found their main door broken and their valuables missing. An FIR was immediately filed, and multiple police teams were assigned to investigate the crime. CCTV footage revealed that four suspects entered the house at 1:15 PM, with two of them breaking the door while the other two kept watch outside. They fled the scene by 1:34 PM.
The suspects, identified as Pardhan, Ranjeet Singh, Babulal, and Prakash, all hailed from Ajmer, Rajasthan. The investigation led to the arrest of Pardhan, Bhanwar Singh (60), a 53-year-old woman, and Ramavtar Soni (28), who was found to have received the stolen jewelry.
During their interrogation, the arrested suspects confessed to conducting a recce of the house before executing the robbery. They also admitted to dividing the stolen jewelry, with Bhanwar Singh and the woman selling 125 grams of gold to Ramavtar Soni. Additional jewelry was discovered in a field in Ajmer, where it had been hidden. The police successfully recovered it.
Pardhan, who was previously declared a proclaimed offender in another similar case, remains in custody. The police are continuing their search for the remaining suspects involved in the robbery.
