Delhi Police arrested two shop helpers in separate incidents for allegedly stealing from their employers.
In the first case, Munna Kumar (21) from Shimla allegedly siphoned off more than Rs 3.2 lakh from his employer’s bank account in Dwarka, southwest Delhi.
In a separate incident, police arrested Mahesh Varma (19) from northwest Delhi for allegedly stealing Rs 5 lakh in cash from his employer’s shop at NS Mandi. The theft reportedly occurred on December 10, when Mahesh allegedly took the cash stored in the shop’s basement and fled.
Varma was later arrested from Adarsh Nagar, and police recovered Rs 1 lakh in cash along with a gold earring.
Both cases are under investigation, and authorities are examining how the thefts were carried out.
