The Delhi Police Crime Branch has apprehended Shivam (also known as Shubham or Shibu), aged 22, in Agra, ending a month-long manhunt for the accused involved in a violent armed robbery. The robbery on June 12, 2025, resulted in the stabbing of a salesman and theft of gold and silver jewelry valued at over Rs50 lakh.
Earlier, three suspects—Jitender (alias Sujal or Passi), Vijay Kumar, and Vishal Sain (alias Vishu)—were arrested in connection with the crime. Shivam had been evading arrest since the incident, which had caused significant fear in the community.
Using technical surveillance and intelligence, police tracked Shivam to Agra and arrested him. During interrogation, Shivam cited financial hardships following his father’s death and influence from a neighbor as reasons for his involvement. He was reportedly instrumental in planning and executing the robbery alongside others.
The arrests have helped restore public confidence and reinforce law enforcement’s commitment to curbing violent crime.
