The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested Gaurav, 24, a key member of a national narco-syndicate, recovering heroin worth nearly Rs 7 crore. The arrest took place on June 28 in Rohini following a tip-off.

Police seized 405 grams of heroin and over 1,000 pouches suspected of containing contraband substances from Gaurav, who was caught attempting to deliver the drugs on a scooter that was also confiscated.

Officials say the bust is a significant step toward dismantling a major drug supply chain operating in and around Delhi. During interrogation, Gaurav revealed the name of his associate and main supplier, Vanshu, who is still evading arrest. Police have launched raids to track Vanshu and uncover further links in the syndicate.

Gaurav, a school dropout, started his criminal career assisting relatives in illegal liquor distribution. In 2023, he met Vanshu at a marriage function and soon began sourcing and distributing heroin to a select group of addicts in Delhi.
