Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the robbery of a government school teacher in Delhi’s Burari area. The suspects, Arjun (26) and Sujeet (21), both residents of Indra Colony, were apprehended after a thorough investigation linked them to the crime. Arjun, with a criminal history, had been involved in several previous offenses, including snatching, theft, and drug-related crimes.
The incident occurred on May 8, when the victim, Jitender Kumar Meena, a primary school teacher, was targeted. Around 8 p.m., while on Pusta Road, Meena was approached by four men. One of them sprayed a chemical substance on his face, rendering him unconscious. The robbers then stole his bike, two mobile phones, and his purse.
Following the incident, CCTV footage revealed the suspects arriving on a bike and fleeing on two separate bikes. The victim managed to track his stolen phone to Azadpur Market, where the police located two suspects fitting the descriptions. After a brief chase, the suspects were apprehended. During questioning, they confessed to the crime, mentioning their involvement with two other accomplices, Vishal and Jatin.
The police continue their investigation, and further efforts are being made to apprehend the remaining suspects involved in the robbery.
