A grim domestic tragedy unfolded in Delhi as Shabab Ali, a house painter, was arrested for allegedly poisoning his wife with weedicide-laced sleeping pills. The motive behind this horrific act is believed to be suspicion of infidelity.

The woman went missing on August 10, prompting police to launch an investigation. CCTV footage later revealed Shabab Ali and his accomplices carrying the unconscious victim’s body, providing crucial evidence that led to their arrest.

Authorities exhumed the victim’s body 11 days after the alleged murder to conduct a detailed forensic examination, which confirmed poisoning as the cause of death. The victim is survived by two young children, highlighting the devastating human cost of domestic violence driven by mistrust and suspicion.

The police continue to probe the case, seeking to bring all those involved to justice and raise awareness about the dangers of unchecked domestic disputes.
