RIVERSIDE, Calif. — A registered sex offender from Arizona, Deirdrick Dayvon Bradford, 31, has been arrested by Riverside police for human trafficking of a minor, possession of child pornography, and pimping.
According to the Riverside Police Department, detectives launched an investigation in mid-August after receiving a tip about online ads promoting a female juvenile for commercial sex. Investigators determined the girl had been trafficked and forced into prostitution across Riverside County, Los Angeles, and Arizona.
After months of investigation, police obtained an arrest warrant for Bradford. Working with the U.S. Marshals Service, authorities located and arrested him in Phoenix, Arizona, on October 14. He was extradited to Riverside County on October 24 and is currently being held on $85,000 bail.
“This investigation highlights the outstanding work of our Vice Unit and their relentless efforts to protect victims of human trafficking,” said Riverside Police Chief Larry Gonzalez. “With the support of our METRO Team and the U.S. Marshals Task Force, we were able to locate and arrest a dangerous offender who tried to evade justice.”
Authorities continue to investigate whether Bradford may have other victims in California or Arizona.
