Dehradun police have arrested two individuals in connection with the alleged murder of journalist Pankaj Mishra. The arrests took place on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in the capital city of Uttarakhand.
The arrested persons have been identified as Amit Sehgal (51), a resident of the Cantt area in Dehradun, and Partho Sheel (45) from Mumbai. Police confirmed that both were called in for questioning after a complaint was filed by the deceased journalist’s brother. Following the interrogation, the duo was taken into custody.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the case to determine the motive and circumstances surrounding the journalist’s death.
