In a swift operation by Ayodhya Nagar Police, two men were arrested for a major burglary at a high-end furniture and electronics showroom on Ayodhya Bypass. The investigation began when an ATM card stolen during the burglary was used at an MP Online kiosk, leading police directly to one of the culprits.

The arrested suspects are Deepak Yadav (19), a former security guard at the showroom, and Tarun alias Mahendra Meena (19), a resident of Ahmedpur, Sehore district, currently staying in Damkheda, Chhola. Deepak had previously committed crimes and knew the ATM PIN, which ultimately exposed their crime.

The burglary occurred on the night of November 24–25, during which the duo broke the showroom lock and stole cash, an ATM card, branded LED TVs, mobile phones, earbuds, water heaters, geysers, mixer grinders, water purifiers, and other electronics. The stolen items were loaded into a loading auto-rickshaw, and in their haste, they damaged other goods inside the showroom.

Police recovered cash and electronic items worth nearly Rs 12 lakh from the accused. SHO Mahesh Lilhare stated that a special team analyzed CCTV footage and used local intelligence to track the suspects. Deepak’s use of the stolen ATM card provided the key lead to capture the duo.

Further investigation is ongoing to determine if they were involved in other thefts in the area.
