In a theft attempt reported from an industrial area, two individuals were caught red-handed while allegedly trying to steal sugar sacks from a khandsari plant, according to a report by Amar Ujala.
The incident took place late Friday night at a plant owned by Ved Prakash Agarwal. Police said the accused were attempting to remove 50-kg sugar sacks from the warehouse located in the industrial zone.
A vigilant security guard noticed suspicious activity and quickly intervened. He managed to catch two men—identified as Deepak and Shankar—while they were loading two sacks onto an electric rickshaw.
The guard immediately informed the plant owner, who then alerted the police. A team arrived at the scene and took both accused into custody. Authorities also recovered the stolen sugar sacks along with the electric rickshaw used in the attempted theft.
