In a major crackdown, Delhi Police arrested three individuals for running a fake visa appointment racket that targeted job seekers. The accused — Deepak Pandey, Yash Singh, and Wasim Akram — are believed to have swindled victims by posing as employees of a global travel document processing company.
According to authorities, the group created a fraudulent website and social media profiles, even using a U.S.-based phone number to lend credibility to their scheme. Their setup mimicked legitimate visa appointment services, fooling many into paying large sums for nonexistent job placements and visa processing.
The investigation was launched following a complaint from VFS Global, a legitimate visa outsourcing company. Police recovered forged documents, digital records, and other evidence linking the trio to a wider operation.
Officials say the case is still developing, with further efforts underway to identify more victims and trace the financial network behind the scam.
