BELLEFONTAINE, OH — Two suspects were taken into custody Friday afternoon following a drug raid at a residence on North Detroit Street, according to the Bellefontaine Police Department.
At approximately 12:30 PM, members of the department’s Criminal Patrol Unit, with support from Logan County Sheriff’s Office detectives, executed an arrest and search warrant at 134 North Detroit Street as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
Upon arrival, officers encountered De’Andrea L. Tucker, 45, on the front porch. Police say Tucker refused to follow commands and kept his hands hidden in his sweatshirt. After a brief struggle, he was detained. During the encounter, Tucker allegedly tried to discard suspected crack cocaine, which was recovered by officers.
Simultaneously, police forced entry into the home after receiving no response at the door. Inside, they saw Stephanie L. Burk, 46, fleeing upstairs. She was found in a bedroom and reportedly tried to dispose of suspected crack cocaine before being taken into custody.
A search of the residence uncovered drug-related items including packaging materials, digital scales, baking soda, multiple cell phones, drug paraphernalia, and additional suspected crack cocaine—all items consistent with drug distribution and manufacturing.
Tucker was charged with possession of cocaine and tampering with evidence.
Burk faces multiple charges including possession of cocaine, tampering with evidence, illegal manufacturing of drugs, and trafficking in cocaine.
Both suspects were booked into the Logan County Jail.
