Deandre McBride Arrested in Assumption Parish Firearms Burglary

Fifth suspect turns himself in after firearms theft investigation

by Amelia Crawford

BELLE ROSE — A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a firearms burglary in Assumption Parish, becoming the fifth individual charged in the ongoing investigation.

Deandre McBride turned himself in at the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Monday. He was booked on charges of aggravated burglary and three counts of theft of firearms.

Authorities say the arrest is linked to an incident that occurred two weeks ago near Louisiana Highway 308. Deputies initially responded to a trespassing complaint, which ultimately led to a report of an aggravated burglary on Virginia Street.

According to investigators, McBride and four other suspects — Arrione Davis, Calvin Patterson Jr., Sintrell Franklin, and Alexius McBride — allegedly conspired to steal firearms from a victim. One suspect distracted the victim while the others reportedly removed multiple firearms from the victim’s vehicle.

All five suspects now face the same charges in what authorities described as a coordinated burglary.
