The Rajendranagar police have arrested three suspects in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a 32-year-old woman in Kismatpur on September 14, said Hyberabad DCP (Rajendranagar) Ch Srinivas on Monday.

The accused were identified as Gulam Dastagir Khan alias Rehan Five Star (26) and Mohd Imran alias Danram (25), both auto drivers from Tolichowki, and Meka Durga Reddy alias David (33), a car driver from Langer Houz.

According to DCP Srinivas, the woman had been missing for three days before she was last seen near Pillar No. 143. She was reportedly lured by Durga Reddy, who took her to a secluded spot near KLCC Function Hall, Sathmrai, where she was assaulted.

Later, the woman was dropped near Pillar No. 306, Aramghar XRoads, where Dastagir and Imran allegedly forced her into their rented auto-rickshaw. When she resisted, she was fatally assaulted. The suspects then left her body in nearby bushes before fleeing the scene.

Following the incident, the Cyberabad Special Operations Team (SOT) collaborated with Rajendranagar police, using CCTV footage from nearby roads to identify and track down the accused.

All three suspects were arrested and remanded to judicial custody. DCP Ch Srinivas commended the investigation teams for their swift and coordinated action in solving the homicide case.
