MARYLAND — A Miami man has been federally indicted in connection with the fatal shooting of his ex-wife and her boyfriend in Frederick County, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland.
Prosecutors announced on Nov. 13 that 35-year-old David Turner faces charges of traveling across state lines to commit domestic violence resulting in death, along with using a firearm during a violent crime that led to fatalities.
Authorities allege Turner traveled to Maryland with the intent to kill his former spouse, identified as Crimea Baker. Investigators say Turner fatally shot Baker and her boyfriend, Sean Lange, during the incident.
The case is being prosecuted at the federal level due to the interstate nature of the alleged crimes. Officials have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shootings.
Turner remains in federal custody as the case proceeds through the court system.
