David Roman, Two Others Charged in Manhattan Drug Case

Three arrested at Shop Quick on drug distribution charges

MANHATTAN, KS – Three individuals were arrested Wednesday at a Manhattan convenience store on charges related to drug possession and distribution, according to the Riley County Police Department.

Officers responded to Shop Quick, located at 529 Richards Drive, just before 5 p.m., where they arrested 28-year-old David Roman, 22-year-old Yabdiel Rodriguez, and 16-year-old Xavier Rodriguez. Each faces charges of possession with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute.

In addition to the primary charges, Roman is also charged with marijuana possession. Yabdiel Rodriguez faces further charges, including contributing to a child’s misconduct, criminal damage to property, and possession of a depressant.

Roman’s bond was set at $15,000, and Yabdiel Rodriguez’s at $11,000. Both had bonded out by the time Thursday’s arrest report was filed. Xavier Rodriguez, the 16-year-old, was also no longer in custody as of Thursday.

The incident remains under investigation by local authorities.
