RIPLEY COUNTY, Mo. — David Michael Brannon is in custody following a coordinated search warrant executed by the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and Carter County Sheriff’s Office.
The warrant, served on October 8, led to the seizure of stolen property including a 2021 Gulf Stream Ameri-Lite camper reported stolen in Scott County earlier this year, a 2005 Chapparal Coachman camper stolen from Carter County, and an orange and black enclosed trailer with a defaced identification number.
At Brannon’s residence, officers discovered five pistols, four revolvers, eleven rifles, three shotguns, ammunition, and drug paraphernalia. A dresser drawer contained methamphetamine, plastic baggies, scales, a spoon, a metal straw, and a $1 bill alongside Brannon’s identification.
Brannon was arrested on charges of receiving stolen property and is being held at Ripley County Jail on a $35,000 bond. Conditions for bail include avoiding contact with felons or individuals charged with violent crimes, adhering to a curfew, and submitting to regular drug tests.
Carter County Sheriff Alonzo Bradwell praised the cooperation with Ripley County Sheriff Rad Talbert in a public statement on Facebook.
