CALEDONIA, NY — A 36-year-old Scottsville man, David Kingsbury, has been charged with felony criminal mischief and harassment following an early morning altercation at a business on Flint Hill Road, according to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded around 3 a.m. on July 20 to reports of a dispute involving damaged property. Upon investigation, authorities allege that Kingsbury smashed a window on the victim’s vehicle and struck a woman present during the incident.

Kingsbury was arrested by Deputy Bryan Mann and charged with third-degree criminal mischief (a Class E felony) and second-degree harassment.

He was processed at Livingston County Jail and later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part before Town of Lima Justice Harold Harris, who released him on his own recognizance under the state’s Bail Reform Act, which does not permit bail for the charges filed.

The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office represented Kingsbury, and the District Attorney’s Office was also present at the arraignment. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
