EVANSVILLE, Ind. — David “Peezy” Gray was arrested Monday morning on charges of Dealing Cocaine or Narcotic Drug in connection to a large drug bust in Evansville.

Gray, who was linked to a family-run drug operation, is connected to several individuals, including Dareion Ashford, Demetres Gray, Dalyn Rhodes, Damon Campbell, and JaJaun Bennett. According to the Evansville Police Department (EPD), these suspects were involved in a range of drug-related and gun-related crimes spanning from 2018 to 2025.

Detectives noted that in March, over 20 grams of fentanyl—equivalent to around 215 user dosages—was seized from Gray. This drug bust highlights the ongoing efforts to dismantle large drug networks in the area.

Gray has been booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail without bond. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities continue to target criminal enterprises trafficking illicit substances.
