FAYETTE COUNTY, Texas — Two men were arrested Monday after authorities say they attempted to sell stolen cattle at a local livestock auction.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Davarion Davon Hurst of Franklin and 21-year-old Kevandre Dayshawn Corona of Calvert were identified by deputies and a special ranger at the Flatonia Livestock Auction around 3:30 p.m.

Investigators determined that the men were trying to sell three stolen cattle — two Holstein heifers and one Jersey-type heifer — that had been reported stolen from Robertson County.

Both suspects were arrested and charged with theft of livestock. They were transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center in Fayette County.

Authorities also impounded the cattle trailer used in the theft as the investigation continues.
