Daryle Keith Arrested in Winston-Salem Shooting

Felony charges follow violent custody exchange incident

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A custody exchange on Dec. 17, 2025, at 206 Royal Forest Court escalated into a shooting, leaving a 3-year-old and Daryle Keith injured.

The incident began as a verbal dispute between Nashaira Cuthbertson, her boyfriend Jermaine Wilson, and Daryle Keith. The argument turned physical, with firearms discharged during the altercation by India Knight, Keith, and Wilson.

Following the incident, Wilson and Cuthbertson contacted police. Knight was initially charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.

On Jan. 14, 2026, Keith was arrested and charged with felony inciting a riot resulting in serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and discharging a firearm from an enclosure to incite fear. He is being held at the Forsyth County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond.

Knight was also arrested on felony charges including engaging in a riot resulting in serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and discharging a firearm from an enclosure to incite fear, and is being held without bond.

Wilson was not charged after evidence suggested he acted in self-defense. The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities warning that additional charges could be filed.
