Darnell Briggs Arrested for Grand Theft in Oxford

Oxford man charged following summer theft investigation

OXFORD — On July 12, an officer from the Oxford Police Department received a theft report regarding an incident that occurred earlier this summer in the 2000 block of Oxford Way. An investigator was assigned to the case and quickly identified the suspect as 21-year-old Darnell Lamot Briggs of Oxford.

Following the investigation, an arrest warrant for grand theft was issued for Briggs on July 16. He was subsequently taken into custody and booked into the Lafayette County Detention Center.
