CLARKSTON, Wash. — A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with property damage at the Hacienda Lodge and possession of multiple debit cards that did not belong to him.
Clarkston Police responded around 1:19 p.m. on Wednesday to a reported burglary at 812 Bridge St., the Hacienda Lodge. A tenant told officers he heard loud banging from a neighboring unit, spoke briefly with the person inside, and then notified the property manager.
The manager reported that the unit, rented to a tenant who was currently in jail, had been accessed without authorization. Officers observed significant water damage, tampered bathroom sink pipes, a damaged front door frame, and damage to a laundry room door. A shoe print was also noted on the front door.
Police later identified the suspect as Danny Dallas Booze. On February 12, around 10 p.m., officers located Booze walking on the 700 block of 12th Street. A search revealed a wallet containing seven debit cards belonging to multiple individuals, some of which had reportedly been lost or stolen earlier in the day.
Booze was arrested and charged with second-degree malicious mischief for the Hacienda Lodge damage and three counts of financial fraud for possession of the debit cards. Authorities confirmed that the debit cards had been canceled and were not used.
Booze is scheduled to make his initial court appearance on Friday.
