Carter County Man Charged with First-Degree Rape After DNA Evidence Links Him to Assault
CARTER COUNTY, Okla. — Danny Bledsoe, 20, has been charged with first-degree rape after allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in 2023. According to court documents, DNA evidence collected during the investigation was recently sent to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), where it was confirmed to match Bledsoe’s DNA.
Bledsoe was arrested earlier this week and is currently out on a $20,000 bond. The charges stem from an alleged incident that occurred in 2023, when Bledsoe is accused of assaulting the young girl.
The case is still under investigation, and further details regarding the assault have not been disclosed at this time. Bledsoe’s next court appearance is scheduled for later this year.
