Daniel Oteng Arrested for Receiving Stolen Ford F-150 Raptor in Warren Township

Bronx man apprehended after Automated License Plate Reader leads to coordinated police operation

WARREN, NJ – Daniel Oteng, a 38-year-old from the Bronx, NY, was arrested on January 15, 2025, for receiving stolen property, after being found in possession of a Ford F-150 Raptor that had been reported stolen.

According to Warren Township Police Chief Robert W. Ferreiro, the arrest followed a swift response to an alert from an Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR), which detected the stolen vehicle entering the township at approximately 10:15 AM. Within moments of receiving the alert, officers located and began to surveil the vehicle.

The officers followed the suspect vehicle to the intersection of Mount Bethel Rd. and Mountain Blvd., where they had set up a tactical response. Through coordinated efforts, officers successfully blocked the vehicle to prevent its escape and ensure public safety. Daniel Oteng and a passenger were taken into custody without incident.

Oteng faces charges of Receiving Stolen Property, a third-degree crime, while the passenger was released without any charges.
