Daniel Morgan Arrested After Brunswick County Home Threat

Man faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. — A Brunswick County man is in custody after allegedly breaking into a home and threatening to kidnap and kill two residents, according to court documents.

Authorities said Daniel Kevin Morgan allegedly entered a home on Grissett Road on Dec. 7. Two people were inside when Morgan reportedly threatened to take them, kill them, and then kill himself while brandishing a firearm, arrest warrants state.

Morgan has been charged with:

Felony attempted first-degree murder

Felony first-degree burglary

Felony first-degree kidnapping

Felony discharge of a firearm into occupied property

Misdemeanor communicating threats

Misdemeanor assault by pointing a gun

He is being held without bond, and his first court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 2 p.m.
