SALT LAKE CITY – A 21-year-old man, Daniel Jacob Jennings, was arrested Monday after Layton police discovered a large-scale drug operation, including evidence of THC manufacturing, at his residence.
Fight Leads to Major Drug Discovery
Police responded to a fight involving five people near 1575 E. 2478 N. Upon arrival, officers conducted a safety sweep of the home and found hundreds of THC cartridges, drug paraphernalia, and large amounts of cash.
Jennings, one of the individuals involved in the altercation, admitted to having a firearm. Officers recovered a loaded gun after detaining him.
Search Warrant Reveals Drug Operation
After securing a search warrant, Layton police uncovered:
✅ 1,200 THC cartridges
✅ 3,200 grams of THC wax
✅ 28 grams of methamphetamine
✅ Equipment for THC manufacturing, including hot plates and mason jars with THC residue
Child Endangerment Charges
Jennings faces five charges, including child endangerment, as his one-year-old son was exposed to controlled substances at the residence.
Authorities continue to investigate the extent of the drug operation, emphasizing the dangers posed to the child and the community.
