NEW MILFORD, CT (WFSB) — Daniel Fazio, 34, assistant coach for the New Milford Bulls youth football team, was arrested after allegedly pushing a 7-year-old player during a game on Sunday.

The incident occurred while the New Milford Bulls faced off against the Water-Oak Youth Football Team. Police said Fazio pushed the young player to the ground, but no injuries were reported.

Fazio was charged with second-degree breach of peace, disorderly conduct, and risk of injury to a child. He posted a $20,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on October 2.

The New Milford Bulls have since removed Fazio from his coaching duties. The team released a statement condemning his actions, emphasizing that his behavior does not reflect the values of the program.

No further details have been released at this time.
