Daniel Brewer Arrested in Topeka for Meth Possession

Brewer Also Held on Parole Violation in Shawnee County

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – A Topeka man is facing multiple felony drug charges following an arrest on Friday, June 27.

Shawnee County Sheriff Brian C. Hill confirmed that Daniel S. Brewer, 37, was taken into custody around 8 p.m. in the 200 block of NE Norris Street. A deputy with the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office made contact with Brewer, during which it was discovered that he had an outstanding warrant.

Upon further investigation, deputies located illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia in Brewer’s possession. He was arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections (SNDOC).

Brewer faces the following charges:

Possession of an opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant

Use/possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia for human ingestion

Authorities also placed a parole violation hold on Brewer for the Kansas Department of Corrections.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
