BOISE, Idaho — Daniel Alaniz Pineda, 19, was arrested by Boise Police in connection with a shooting and robbery that occurred on January 19, 2025, in the 1400 block of N. Cole Rd. Two victims, a male adult and a female adult, were injured during the incident. The male victim sustained life-threatening injuries, while the female victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
According to police, the suspects and victims initially met over a dispute regarding property. The suspects allegedly stole the victims’ phone, wallet, and ID, prompting the victims to chase the suspects in their vehicle. A second confrontation occurred, during which shots were fired at the victims.
Following the incident, officers identified a potential vehicle involved and tracked it to a residence in the 300 block of N. Meridian Road in Meridian. A perimeter was established, and the Meridian Special Tactics Group responded. By 1:00 a.m., three suspects were taken into custody without further incident.
Daniel Alaniz Pineda faces felony charges of robbery and aggravated battery, with an enhancement for the use of a deadly weapon. The two juvenile suspects, also facing robbery charges, are currently being held at the Ada County Juvenile Detention Center. Pineda has been booked into the Ada County Jail.
Police temporarily closed roads around the crime scene and residence during the investigation, but they have since reopened.
