DANBURY, CT – A 29-year-old convicted felon, Ramell Rayon Crawford, was arrested on Friday after a months-long investigation into illegal drug activity.
Investigation & Arrest
Authorities launched the investigation after multiple complaints from residents regarding Crawford’s involvement in drug sales. Police, already familiar with him due to prior investigations involving weapons and narcotics, obtained search warrants for:
Crawford himself
His phone
An apartment he frequented
The vehicle he drove
When officers attempted to apprehend him, Crawford tried to flee but was quickly taken into custody.

A subsequent search uncovered:
3 ounces of fentanyl
3 ounces of cocaine
9mm ghost gun
Large sum of cash
Electronic scale & packaging materials
Child Endangerment Charges
Authorities also discovered that two children lived in the apartment, leading to two counts of risk of injury to a minor among his multiple charges.
Legal Consequences
Crawford is being held on a $750,000 bond.
