Two people have been arrested in Oklahoma City after police say a victim was forced into prostitution as part of a human trafficking scheme.
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, the investigation began after a 911 call reporting a possible kidnapping. Authorities later identified the suspects as Danasia Turner and Alaze Grant.
Court documents state that Turner initially met the victim and became acquainted with her before the two eventually moved in together. Turner allegedly told the victim she worked as a prostitute and escort and then explained a set of strict rules. Investigators say the victim was told she could only use her phone when earning money and that failure to follow orders or work would lead to physical punishment.
According to the affidavit, Turner later appeared with visible injuries—including a black eye and broken fingernails—and told the victim the injuries were the result of breaking the rules. Authorities believe this was meant to intimidate the victim into compliance.
On January 5, 2026, Turner allegedly took the victim to the Super Inn near Interstate 240 and South Western Avenue. Investigators say the victim was forced to rent a room and participate in prostitution.
Police say the victim witnessed Turner hand over the money earned from the encounters to Grant. The victim reportedly told investigators she felt unable to leave because of the violence she had seen and the threats implied by Turner’s injuries.
During the ordeal, the victim managed to send text messages to a friend saying she needed help, could not leave, and believed she was being sex trafficked.
Turner and Grant were later arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center. Both face charges of human trafficking and conspiracy to commit a felony, with bond set at $1 million each.
Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
