DALLAS — Five suspects are in custody and $1 million in stolen goods have been recovered after Dallas police intercepted a stolen trailer earlier this month.
On Nov. 1, the South Central Crime Response Team was alerted that a trailer reported stolen by the Benbrook Police Department was being pulled into a repair shop on University Hills Boulevard. Officers apprehended the driver and two others on the spot.
Further investigation revealed that the repair shop’s owner and manager were also involved. Authorities said the shop was used to store stolen goods. A search warrant uncovered $1 million in items linked to at least 10 cargo theft cases dating back to 2022.
Recovered property includes 600 aluminum rims, a trailer, a motorcycle, an ATV, a car engine, a refrigerator, several air conditioners, multiple cases of motor oil, 795 tires, and more than $32,000 in cash.
The five suspects face the following charges:
Johnny Veail, 39 – Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle
Abdullah Majeed, 39 – Theft of property of at least $300,000
Mohammad Husainy, 37 – Theft of property of at least $300,000
Justin Kenney, 37 – Theft of property of at least $300,000; Benbrook PD warrant for theft of $30,000–$150,000
Anthony Walker, 54 – Theft of property of at least $300,000
Police said the case demonstrates ongoing efforts to crack down on organized cargo theft in the Dallas metroplex.
