In a continued crackdown on drug abuse, the Nakodar police have arrested three individuals for allegedly consuming heroin. According to Station House Officer Aman Saini, the arrests were made following targeted checks in the area.

The accused have been identified as:

Daler, alias Ankush,

Summit, alias Chand, both residents of Mohalla Rishi Nagar, and

Satpal, alias Dabb, a resident of Pati Neelo Wal, Bilga.

During the arrest, the police recovered items typically used for drug consumption — including a lighter, silver paper, and a plastic pipe — from Daler and Summit. All three were reportedly caught in possession of or using heroin.

A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigations are underway.

The Nakodar police have reiterated their commitment to curbing drug abuse and urged the public to report any suspicious activities in their localities.
