NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — A Berkeley County man, Dale Rennie Roberts, 55, has been arrested in connection with a string of recent burglaries at businesses in the North Charleston area.
According to police and jail records, Roberts faces four counts of burglary and one count of second-degree grand larceny following multiple break-ins over several days in June.
The latest incident occurred on Friday at the Jiffy Lube on Rivers Avenue, where Roberts allegedly stole $350 in cash from a drawer. Investigators also linked him to a burglary at Seasons of Tokyo, also on Rivers Avenue, where $300 in cash was taken.
On June 14, Roberts is accused of breaking into the Claudia Esthetics Institute, stealing two laptops, a computer case, and a book bag. The next day, on June 15, authorities say he targeted Glamour Peluqueria Unisex on Ashley Phosphate Road, taking $400 from the register.
Roberts was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center, where records show he is also being held on additional holds from Berkeley and Dorchester Counties.
Investigators continue to look into the full extent of the crimes. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact North Charleston Police.
