NORTH PORT, FL — Four individuals, including three adults and one minor, were arrested Sunday afternoon in connection with a shoplifting attempt at Cocoplum Village Shops, according to the North Port Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of suspicious activity around 5:30 p.m., where witnesses said a group of alleged shoplifters was seen near a gray Chevrolet Malibu.
The suspects were identified as Dale Conner, Jessika Bridges, Tammie Harrel, and an unnamed minor. Police detained and arrested the group at the scene.
Authorities have not released further details on what items were allegedly stolen or which stores were targeted. The investigation is ongoing.
