The Cyber Police Station/NED team has arrested three individuals involved in a high-value investment fraud that defrauded a 55-year-old victim of Rs12,50,445. During the operation, four mobile phones used in the crime were recovered, and Rs4.5 lakh was frozen and credited back to the complainant’s account.
According to police, the case was registered on October 16, 2025, under FIR No. 13/25, based on a complaint from Gaurav Sharma of being cheated by unknown individuals promising lucrative investment returns.
A dedicated team led by Inspector Rahul Kumar, SHO/PS Cyber, along with SI Nandan Singh and other officers, investigated multiple leads. Bhupesh (39) from Rewari, Haryana, was arrested first and, during interrogation, confessed to his role in the crime. He then revealed the involvement of two accomplices, Ashish Chauhan (27) and Ajay Sharma (30), who were subsequently apprehended.
Police confirmed the recovery of four mobile phones used to orchestrate the fraud. Authorities also successfully froze and returned Rs4.5 lakh to the victim. Investigation into the full extent of the fraud network is ongoing.
