WILLOUGHBY, Ohio — A man has been sentenced to prison and ordered to pay restitution for his role in multiple theft cases across Lake County.

Curtis Wilder, 55, of Garfield Heights, pleaded guilty to several felony charges, including three counts of grand theft of a motor vehicle, three counts of grand theft, one count of breaking and entering, and one count of theft.

The charges stemmed from a series of thefts, including a stolen Ford F-350 flatbed truck, a 16-foot trailer, and various tools. Investigators discovered that Wilder had committed similar theft offenses in surrounding areas.

Willoughby Police worked alongside Wickliffe, Eastlake, and Mentor police departments in a joint investigation that ultimately led to Wilder’s arrest and prosecution through the Lake County Court of Common Pleas.

On Monday, Wilder was sentenced to six and a half years in prison and ordered to pay $22,000 in restitution to the victims.
