Curtis Morgan Arrested in Eagle Springs Drug and Firearm Bust

Authorities seize MDMA, meth, cocaine, pills, cash, and gun in Moore County raid

EAGLE SPRINGS, N.C. — A Moore County man is facing a long list of felony charges after law enforcement officers reportedly seized multiple illegal drugs, a firearm, and cash during a search of a home in Eagle Springs.

According to Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields, deputies joined Probation and Parole officers on August 19, 2025, to conduct a search at a residence in the 9800 block of NC Highway 705. The target of the investigation was Curtis Morgan, 42, of Eagle Springs.

During the search, authorities say they uncovered:

MDMA (molly)

Methamphetamine

Cocaine

Marijuana

Buprenorphine hydrochloride, Suboxone, oxycodone, and hydrocodone

Drug paraphernalia

A firearm

More than $600 in cash

As a result of the findings, Morgan was arrested and hit with multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, including:

Trafficking in MDMA (possession)

Possession with intent to sell/deliver Schedule I substances

Felony possession of meth and cocaine

Trafficking in opium or heroin

Possession with intent to distribute marijuana and Schedule III substances

Maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for controlled substances

Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Simple possession of various scheduled substances

Morgan was taken to the Moore County Detention Center and is being held on a $100,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for August 28, 2025, in Moore County District Court.

The sheriff’s office emphasized that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
