MARTINSVILLE, VA — A Martinsville woman is dead and eleven individuals face serious charges following a violent confrontation on August 12, 2025, in the 500 block of Forest Street.
When officers from the Martinsville Police Department arrived on the scene, they found Crystal Galloway Jordan, 39, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to SOVAH Martinsville Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
In the weeks that followed, detectives conducted an extensive investigation, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses. Authorities determined that a large group had traveled to Forest Street to confront a smaller group of local residents.
The altercation escalated when firearms were drawn and shots were fired, ultimately resulting in Jordan’s death.
As a result, nine individuals from Danville and two from Henry County have been charged with malicious wounding by mob. Police have confirmed that all eleven suspects have been arrested and their booking photos released.
The case remains under active investigation, and officials say additional charges are likely as it develops.
