Truckee Police Arrest Reno Man, Cristian Morales, for Stolen Vehicles and Credit Card Fraud
In January, Truckee Police responded to reports of two vehicles stolen from the Glenshire area early in the morning. Upon investigation, officers discovered that these crimes were linked to a third stolen vehicle from Verdi, NV. Additionally, several stolen credit cards were used at businesses across the Reno area, further complicating the case.
After conducting a thorough investigation, Truckee Police Detectives identified Cristian Morales, 29, of Reno, NV, as the primary suspect. An arrest warrant was issued for multiple felony offenses, including grand theft auto and possession of stolen property.
Morales is currently in custody at the Washoe County Jail, where he awaits extradition back to California to face charges related to the stolen vehicles and credit card fraud. This arrest marks a significant development in the ongoing efforts to tackle vehicle theft and related criminal activity in the region.
