EL PASO, Texas — A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an assault and vehicle theft that followed a road rage incident earlier this year near Homestead Meadows South, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded on Jan. 11 to the intersection of Greg Road and Desert Meadows Road after receiving a report of a man covered in blood. When officers arrived, they learned the victim had been attacked by multiple suspects following a confrontation on the road.
Authorities said the suspects assaulted the victim and stole his vehicle before fleeing the scene. The injured victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
During the investigation, detectives identified Cristian Garay, 20, as one of the individuals involved in the attack. Investigators later obtained an arrest warrant charging him with aggravated robbery, with a bond set at $45,000.
On March 6, deputies located and arrested Garay at the 3500 block of Gajeske Avenue. He was taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
Authorities said the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
