BELMONT, WI – Two individuals, Alonzo A. Criss (40) and Alissa K. Hoag (30), were arrested on April 22, 2025, in connection with serious drug violations near a school zone, Lafayette County Sheriff Reg Gill confirmed in a press release.
At approximately 6:33 a.m., the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Belmont Police Department and the Richland, Iowa, Grant Drug Task Force, executed a narcotics search warrant at 2 Dawn Vista Drive, Belmont. The residence, located within 1000 feet of a park, was the target of a drug trafficking investigation.
Criss and Hoag, both residents of the home, were taken into custody and transported to the Lafayette County Jail, where they remain pending their initial court appearance.
They face numerous tentative charges, including:
Delivery of THC, methamphetamine, and cocaine within 1000 feet of a park, each with firearm enhancers
Possession with intent to deliver cocaine and THC within 1000 feet of a park
Possession of a Schedule II substance within 1000 feet of a park
Maintaining a drug trafficking place
Possession of methamphetamine and general drug paraphernalia
Child neglect
Lafayette County Human Services also responded to the scene due to the presence of children in the home.
Sheriff Gill emphasized that the case is still under investigation and will be submitted to the Lafayette County District Attorney for possible additional charges. “As always, all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law,” he stated.
