COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — Stephen Allen, principal of East Coweta High School, was arrested following a domestic dispute on Feb. 24 at his residence on Rock Mill Court.
The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call and conducted an investigation that led to Allen’s arrest. He was charged with battery (Family Violence Act) and criminal trespass with damage to property. Allen was transported to the Coweta County Jail, where he is awaiting his first court appearance.
Allen, who has over 22 years of experience in education, including roles as a teacher and assistant principal, was not granted bond. Coweta County Schools Superintendent Evan Horton addressed the situation with a letter to parents, ensuring the school will continue operating normally and that district staff will support the East Coweta High School community during this time.
