VICTOR, N.Y. — A shopping spree across several Victor stores led to more than $1,000 in stolen merchandise and a struggle with deputies during arrest.

Courtney L. Simpson, 29, of Canandaigua, faces two counts of petit larceny and one count of resisting arrest.

Deputies arrested Simpson around 5:06 p.m. on Feb. 14 at Target after investigators determined she had concealed multiple items from Dick’s Sporting Goods, Old Navy, and Target, totaling over $1,000 across all stores.

When deputies attempted to take her into custody, Simpson resisted, resulting in a brief struggle. Officers also discovered stolen merchandise from Macy’s in her possession.

Simpson was transported to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office Substation, processed, and released on an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to appear in Victor Town Court at a later date.
