LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. — A man has been arrested on drug trafficking charges following a year-long narcotics investigation, according to the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities identified the suspect as Courtney Lavon Cain. Officials said his arrest came after an extensive investigation conducted by the sheriff’s office narcotics unit in collaboration with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and the FBI North Alabama Safe Streets Task Force.
During the course of the investigation, law enforcement officers reportedly seized a significant amount of methamphetamine, which led to Cain’s arrest.
The sheriff’s office said the case is being prepared for federal prosecution and that additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
