Semmes, Ala. (WALA) – A woman from Semmes, Alabama, is facing criminal charges after allegedly doxing two individuals online in a dispute involving a dog.
Courtney Blake is accused of posting personal information about a father and daughter on social media, which reportedly led to online harassment. According to Semmes Police, the incident stems from a dog that Blake’s ex-boyfriend surrendered to a local rescue organization managed by one of the victims.
Investigators say that after Blake contacted the rescue and was informed that the dog had already been adopted, she retaliated by sharing the victims’ private details online. Authorities report that the victims were then subjected to harassment as a result.
In a separate incident in Mobile, Blake also faces a charge related to filing a false report. Mobile Police Department officials say she falsely reported a domestic dispute that led to a man’s arrest. Investigators later determined that the report was fabricated.
The case highlights growing concerns over doxing and its consequences, particularly when used as a form of retaliation or harassment.
