Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths have arrested a couple, Ahmed Ali Baig and his wife Muyeen Baig, in connection with a house rent scam that defrauded several victims. The couple allegedly rented flats from owners and then sublet them to others, cheating both the property owners and the tenants.
Police have registered cases against them in multiple areas, including Hennur and Banaswadi, following complaints from victims who lost money. The investigation was transferred to the CCB due to protests from those affected, and authorities are currently working to apprehend additional accomplices involved in the scheme.
