WARE, Mass. — A Ware man has been arrested in connection with the theft of a child’s bicycle, according to the Ware Police Department.
Police say Corky Schipper, 34, was taken into custody on Friday after an investigation into reports that an unknown man had stolen a bicycle belonging to a 13-year-old girl and her 9-year-old brother.
Officers determined that Schipper was in possession of the stolen bicycle and charged him with Receiving Stolen Property Under $1,200.
Authorities are continuing to investigate whether Schipper was involved in the original theft, and say he could face additional charges.
Schipper was arraigned Tuesday in Eastern Hampshire District Court in Belchertown.
